Bio

I have been playing guitar for over 25 years and been operating professionally for the last 18. I trained in the UK and gained a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM), the UK's leading modern music college.
During my time at BIMM I studied under world class musicians including Guthrie Govan (1993 guitarist of the year, widely regarded as one of the worlds leading players), Ian Sillet (who has played alongside Paul Mcartney, Mark Knopfler, Joan Armatrading and Beverly Knight), Mark Richardson (Feeder/Skunk Anansie), Kenwyn House (Reef) and Alex Dickson (Robbie Williams) to name just a few of my previous tutors!

Since graduating I have been involved in a variety of professional projects including founding and touring a successful British Band that went onto play many of the country top festivals including the O2 wireless festival in Hyde Park London supporting top acts such as the Kaiser Chiefs and Guilfest supporting Madness. We were also listed as one of the top 10 unsigned acts by O2 in 2007 and featured in Music Week, the UK Music Industry Magazine.

As well as live performance I have worked extensively in recording studios on a variety of projects and experience live studio work through interviews on BBC radio, the leading broadcast company in the UK, Juice FM, Brighton's leading radio station, and many others.

Alongside my performing and recording career i have always taught guitar, i find it very rewarding when you can pass on your knowledge to new students and help ignite a passion for the instrument that lasts for years.

Since moving to Australia in 2010 I have taught guitar at St Laurences College in Brisbane, Coomera Anglican College and started the Rock School program at Canterbury College in Waterford. This has become the largest program of its type in Queensland winning multiple awards and in 2023 i was nominated for the Telstra ARIA Music Teacher Award which recognises teachers that have made an outstanding contribution to the Australian musical landscape  and had a positive influence on students musical experience.

I have also built up a base of private students that a teach from my home studio in Coomera Waters as well as performing gigs as a soloist for functions and work as a studio musician.
